Dark Princess (Original)
She has the ability to focus her powers to crystals or other jewels. The source of the Princess' power is mostly unknown.
In the "Star Stealer" Movie, she was attempting to steal the "Diamond Planet" Spectra and used a small glowing jewel to magnify her powers and control hundreds of Glitterbots and get just about anything she wanted. However Krys and Rainbow Brite were able to destroy the Magic Jewel and leave her powerless, until months later when she appeared in Rainbow Land and attempted to focus her inner powers with diamonds and Color Crystals from the Color Caves.
She and her adviser Count Blogg were sent soon packing when Rainbow Brite again defeated her with her magic Color Belt.
A spoiled and deranged Princess has combed the galaxy, collecting the most precious stones she can find for her own selfish pleasure. Only one gem is missing--the planet Spectra,the largest diamond in the cosmos and the sole source of light for the worlds that surround it... including our own.
Dark Princess's Early Development
Early Development of the Dark Princess from the Star Stealer film changed many times. Her first concept was as an old crone and haggard appearance. Her name is 'Empress Hysteria'. This was later changed to the Dark Princess.

Dark Princess (25th Anniversary)
The character of The Dark Princess made a brief but memorable cameo appearance in the "Return to Rainbow Land" short webisode on RainbowBrite.Com. The plot: She has made her return to Rainbow Land and has captured all Rainbow Land's colors in the Color Castle, and has somehow made Rainbow Brite forget about Rainbow Land!
She is also in the plot for the "Rainbow Rescue" game, also on RainbowBrite.com.
While she is only heard in the webisode and spoken of in the game she never made a real appearance.

Dark Princess A dark, sinister, manipulative and powerful foe to Rainbow Land and Rainbow Brite. She hails form a dark planet and is constantly obsessed with controlling all the light in the universe. She detests everything Rainbow Brite stands for and will stop at nothing to turn her friends against her. She has a deep love for power and worship - accompanied by a vain nature, a dark but witty sense of humor, and is constantly obsessed with controlling all the light, color and darkness in the universe.
