Sorrel the Sorcerer is merely passing by Rainbow Land when his space ship begins to fail and he crashes in the Pits. Murky and Lurky bargain with him, that in replace of repairs to Sorrel's Ship, Sorrel must conjure a way to destroy Rainbow Land's Color Caves.

Sorrel does as he asks, creating a "Dark Rainbow" to destroy the color caves.
